Penny studied at Heatherleys School of Fine Art in London, where she completed a three year full time Portrait  Diploma Course. At the end of this course she received a commendation from The Royal Society of Portrait Painters.

 

She continues to paint portraits, several of which have been commissioned, but has enlarged her repertoire to include still life, nudes and landscape. 

 

She paints in oils and mostly prefers working with a limited palette. She has a very painterly style and a highly sensitive sense of colour and light.

 

She has successfully exhibited at the Fulham Society of Artists and Potters, at Oxford University Club, The Chelsea Arts Club, and more recently at Piers Feetham Gallery in London.
